Gentlemen, I'm including a very simple TAble ( please, see the Attachment to this message) which helps to use the above mentioned formula . Pretty much it is just two columns of angles., The numbers in red are the second bearing angles . The comments to the table explain the easiest way to use it. No need for calculators, just have this little table and take first bearing at ANY angle ( up to 45 deg). Second column tells you what second bearing should be to have the distace travelled to be equal to the distance abeam when passing the object. Your comments will be much appreciated.
