Here's a link to a description of the Beaufort scale.
My guess is if anyone here has been in a Force 12 we wont be hearing from them anymore.

Many are the words I've read where mariners say, "you have no idea of the tremendous power of the ocean and the wx until you get hit by it".

I've read that even submarines can get bounced around by sea currents.
