Fastest sight reduction you've done - EdCa - 12-18-2015 Like everything in celnav sight reduction takes time. What's the fastest Sun sight reduction you have carried out? Just the time from when you store the sextant and sit down to begin the paper work. For me, it was about 1 minute 30 seconds. A lot of time is eaten up in turning pages. Book 1- has; Sight reduction forms that are found on TheNauticalAlmanac.com and also the form I made for Moon and planet sights. Book 2- has;
Book 3- has; Latitudes I typical use from HO-249 TABLE 5- Correction to Tabulated Altitude for Minutes of Declination It makes the entire process much quicker and more organized. Paul |
